Aroma Cups

Aroma cups, known as wen xiang bei, are designed to deepen the sensory experience of gong fu cha by highlighting the fragrance of tea before tasting. Their tall, slender shape concentrates aroma, allowing you to fully appreciate the evolving scent of each infusion.

After tea is poured into the aroma cup, it is inverted into a tasting cup. The tea is enjoyed from the tasting cup, while the empty aroma cup is gently inhaled—revealing layers of floral, roasted, sweet, or mineral notes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
