Yellow Fairness Cup

The fairness cup, also known as gong dao bei, is an essential vessel in gong fu cha brewing. It ensures that every cup of tea poured is equal in strength, aroma, and flavor—honoring the principle of fairness at the tea table.

After brewing, tea is decanted from the teapot or gaiwan into the fairness cup before being served. This step blends the infusion evenly, preventing early pours from being weak and later pours from becoming overly strong.
